, Brian is the Senior Director of Sales leading the Americas Mobility and Wireline team responsible for sales, engineering, executive interlock, business development and Managed Services. In this role, Rider’s focus is leading teams focused on transformation through simplifying, automating and radically disrupting traditional SP architectures through software and hardware innovation while defining a quantified approach on business transformation enabling new joint offerings across business and consumer markets. Key customers include T-Mobile, Dish, Sprint, Bell Canada, CenturyLink, Telus, Sasktel, TDS and US Cell. Rider was most recently the Operations Director in the Global Service Provider segment of Cisco Service Provider focused on Wireless & Telco customers. In this role, Rider had responsibility for the overall sales strategy, operations and customer relationships for Cisco’s US Telco and Mobility Service Provider customers including business development, engineering, sales and go to market activity. With over 20 years of experience in the IP networking and communications industry, Rider has a proven track record of leading teams focused on creating sustainable growth, transforming the customer experience and capturing market and business transitions through innovative problem solving, solutions development and strategic partnerships. Rider joined Cisco in 2000 and has held numerous sales and sales leadership roles leading teams focused on Cisco’s Tier 2 Telco and RLEC customers. Prior to Cisco, Rider held sales and engineering positions at Bell Atlantic Network Integration in Richmond, VA. In addition to his sales leadership role, Rider is an active member of Cisco’s Leadership Development Program designed to enhance and cultivate skills for leading change, developing strategic perspectives and inspiring teams. Rider is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University and resides in Denver, CO with his wife Anne and daughter, Arden.
